2019 Fort Knox Pirate Parlay

July 12th - 14th

The Fort Knox Pirate Parlay is an annual living history pirate festival held for over 10 years that has evolved to become one of the most popular Pirate Festivals in New England https://www.facebook.com/fortknoxpirateparlay/. For four days in July, Fort Knox transforms into a fortress from the pre and early America time period where 50-70 pirates and colonials encamp and offer interactive demonstrations and displays depicting life in the early/mid 1700's. Ships sail the Penobscot with occasional cannon battles and sword skirmishes as pirates conduct a meeting (or Parley) while talking like pirates (parlay). Visitors are entertained with period music from multiple troupes, puppet shows, and treasure hunts. A link to video highlights in 2018:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5ymY7JydR8
