​Join us in welcoming newly arrived Civil War units! Travel back in time for the last Civil War Living History Encampment of 2024 at Fort Knox, Maine. Representatives from Northern units stationed in the south; 1st Artillery NY, Battery A, 14th Brooklyn, and a skilled field nurse supporting 10th Illinois Calvary. There will be Civil War living history demos and displays by uniformed participants from the mid-1800s. Friday, Sept 13 from 1-4:30 pm, Saturday, Sept 14 from 9 – 4:30 pm, and Sunday, Sept 15th from 9-1 pm. The event is rain or shine. Regular park admission fees.
Frightful Scavenger Haunt at the Fort

Halloween fun during the day! Spooks and monsters have taken over Fort Knox and we need your help to find them all! The Scavenger Haunt is geared toward the younger monster hunters who search through historic Fort Knox’s dark passageways and creepy rooms to check off their list. All monsters are static props and decorations. Find them all and come back to the Visitor Center for a little surprise as your monster hunter reward! Coming in costume is welcome but no real weapons allowed!

Skeptics and believers will both enjoy joining the various Ghost Hunting Investigators on an after-hours tour through the dark passages of Fort Knox in search of ghosts and paranormal phenomena. Guests become part of a paranormal investigation using high-tech night vision and sensor equipment to discover what goes bump in the night.
